I met Robert in August 2018 when I joined his gym @bjj.olympia which perfectly filled a puzzle piece that I knew was missing from my life but hadn’t figured out what it was yet. So it’s been an honor to spend time with @nowrobert creating his Fenrir tattoo and yesterday we added the final piece (of this section at least), the blue mark. And I’m looking forward to continuing/expanding work on Robert ❤️

It was a HUGE help that @empireinks @fineartfirst took me out to Colorado earlier this year to visit the masterful @jacobsheffieldart and observe and learn from him. While I was packing the blue I tried my best to emulate Jake’s pace and motions, the angle of his machine, amount of needle hang, his thoroughness. I borrowed the same type of corded rotary machine (thanks Colt!) that Jake enjoys and it felt really good. Seemed smoother and less harsh compared to my power wand. So thank you @jacobsheffieldart @fineartfirst @empireinks ❤️
